In the same competition, Kim placed third in the professional stock picking division, more than doubling his initial virtual investment of $500,000 into $1.1 million. In 2003, his momentum trading strategies were proven again when he bested 2,400 other investors to win the 2nd place in the Lycos Finance Investment Challenge. In the real world, the total equity of accounts under his management has grown over 130% in 2002.
